Where is it?: Roachdale Reserve is c. 3km NNE of Kersbrook at the corner of South Para and Wattle Roads.

History: Roachdale Reserve was the first property to be donated to the National Trust of South Australia. This natural heritage reserve was gifted by Miss Hilda Roach in March 1957.

Habitat: This area contains one of the last remaining stands of Long-leafed Box (Eucalyptus goniocalyx) Woodland in the Mount Lofty Ranges.

Total Species Recorded to Date: 50 (non-passerines 18, passerines 32)

Common Species: Adelaide Rosella, White-throated Treecreeper, Red Wattlebird, Yellow-faced Honeyeater, Striated Pardalote, Grey Fantail

Less Common Species: Crescent Honeyeater, Brown Thornbill, Scarlet Robin, White-winged Chough, Bassian Thrush
