This event has passed.April General Meeting 26 April, 2022 at 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm SPEAKER: Ali Ben Kahn TITLE: The Mount Lofty Ranges Woodland Birds Monitoring Project: What do we actually do and what happens to our data? BIO: Ali has worked in the biodiversity conservation sector for over 30 years. After graduating with a Masters Degree in Environmental Science from Adelaide University in 1993 one of her first jobs was as Scientific Officer with The Nature Conservation Society of SA (NCS). Over the ensuing years Ali has worked in or with Government agencies including the Dept. of Environment, Mines and Energy/PIRSA, Attorney General’s Dept and with private consultancy companies, farming groups and several NGOs. Ali has served as a member of several Statutory Authorities, Boards and Committees, often as a nominee of the Conservation Council of SA. These include the Native Vegetation Council, the Pastoral Board, the Arid Areas Catchment Water Management Board and National Parks Consultative Committees. She is currently a member of the AMLR Bushfire Management Committee. Ali is currently the Coordinator of the Mount Lofty Ranges Woodland Birds Monitoring Project and Data Coordinator for the Bushland Condition Monitoring Program, both operated by NCS.
