Waterfalls Reserve, Mannum

Where is it?: The waterfalls are 10km SW of Mannum off the Mannum – Murray Bridge Road.

Owner: Crown Land managed by Mid Murray Council

Property summary: Total area c. 60 hectares. Hundred of Finnis – Sections 532, 533 and 722¹.

Landscape Management Region: Murraylands and Riverland

History: On the 10 December 1964 the Crown Lands were dedicate as a recreation area under the care, control and management by the District Council of Mannum².

Habitat: There are River Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) along Reedy Creek with Common Reed (Phragmites australis). The area is covered with large granite boulders.

Total Species Recorded to Date: 109 (non-passerines 58, passerines 51)

Common Species:  White-browed Babbler, Peaceful Dove, Red-rumped Parrot, Crested Pigeon, Australian Magpie, Willie Wagtail

Less Common Species: Great Cormorant, Black-fronted Dotterel, Purple-backed Fairywren, Diamond Firetail, Purple-crowned Lorikeet, Hooded Robin
