Thompson Beach

Where is it?: This region about 8.5 km. SW of Dublin on the eastern shores of Gulf St Vincent is part of the area known as the Samphire Coast. It extends from Bakers Creek in the north to Third Creek in the south.

Landscape Management Region: Northern and Yorke

Habitat: There is a wide range of habitats in this region including tidal creeks, mangroves, mudflats, samphire and mangroves.

Total Species Recorded to Date: 111 (non-passerines 82, passerines 29)

Common Species: Spur-winged Plover, Red-capped Plover, Grey Plover, Red-necked Stint, Silver Gull, Pacific Gull, Singing Honeyeater

Less Common Species: Australian Shelduck, Double-band
