The latest issue is available to members only. It is released for open access when the next issue is published towards the end of the year. To become a member, read more.

Member access

Members have access online or pay for printed copies sent to their address or collected at a general meeting. To access the journal online, members must be registered with Member Jungle (our new membership system) to read the latest issue of all Birds SA publications online or via the Member Jungle app.

If you have registered:

  1. Click on Member Login in the top menu to be directed to the member Jungle login page
  2. Enter your Member Jungle username (i.e., your email address) and password
  3. Click on SA Ornithologist (Latest Issue) under My Documents of the My Account tab.

If you are a financial member and want to register with Member Jungle for the first time:

  1. Click on Member Login in the top menu of the Birds SA website
  2. Enter your new username. It is your  email address  AND NOT your old username. If you email address has changed, contact the Membership Team
  3. Create a new password by clicking Forgot Your Password
  4. Follow the instructions requested by Member Jungle and be ready to check your email for any emails sent to you by Member Jungle.
  5. Record your new password in a safe place and then login using your new password

Note: When ask to enter your username enter the email address listed above and when it asks for your email address, enter the email address above. Yes, it’s OK to use it twice.
