Mitcham

Where is it?: Mitcham is an inner southern suburb of Adelaide. It is bounded by a line from the southern and south-eastern boundary of Randell Park to the south-eastern corner of Brownhill Creek Recreation Park ,

History: The City of Mitcham founded in 1853 is Adelaide’s second oldest Council area. The  name was taken from the village of Mitcham which had been established earlier in 1840 near Brownhill Creek and came from Mitcham in Surrey, England.

Total Species Recorded to Date: 52 (non-passerines 20, passerines 32)

Common Species: Crested Pigeon, Eastern Rosella, Rainbow Lorikeet, Galah, Noisy Miner, Australian Magpie, Little Raven

Less Common Species: Common Bronzewing, Tawny Frogmouth, White-browed Scrubwren, Spotted Pardalote, Black-faced Cuckooshrike, Mistletoebird
