Inaugural Family Picnic

FAMILY OUTING: This event is for Birds SA families to meet and greet each other while children engage in fun bird-related educational activities.

Welcome to our first family picnic! 

Birds SA members often go bird watching on week days and the weekends mostly without their families. This event is an opportunity for all members of the family to meet and greet each other and for the children to get involved in some fun activities in the beautiful surrounds of Laratinga Wetlands near Mount Barker.

Children activities

Bird mask making, colouring in bird drawings and origami crane making

Other activities

Guided bird walks around the wetlands with free bird booklets and a free raffle with a Haig’s chocolate hamper, books and wine as prizes.

What to bring

A sausage sizzle will be available (a gold coin donation) or BYO picnic lunch, drinks, picnic rug, chairs, binoculars, cameras and enclosed shoes (e.g., runners, sneakers) for walking. 

To register and read the health and safety guidelines on your laptop or desktop:

1. LOGIN to your Member Jungle account and
2. Go to the My Events tab in your member area. 
3. Scroll down to 19th November 2023
4. Click on the Register button

To register via your mobile/tablet/iPad:

1. Go to your Member Jungle app (download from Google Play or Apple Store)

3. Click on the Register button
